Really fun and challenging build - watch out for the FFC connectors, they're challenging even with lots of soldering experience. Great support and troubleshooting from holykeebs. The keyboard itself is awesome: the trackball is in the right spot, the scroll wheels on each side are nice, the toggles are cool(I'm using one for numpad mode when I'm inputting lots of numbers). Remap-app takes a bit of getting used to compared to VIA or VIAL, but it has all the options, and the firmware is open source if you need more options.

These have a nice textured feel and are about as low as any MX keycap will get

I've been using the corne choc as my daily driver and enjoying it! The kit was fun to put together and the documentation is easy to follow. Had an issue with a pointer component, and Idan was very helpful and responsive. 10/10 would recommend holykeebs.

This fits perfectly so 5* for that! What didn’t work for me was it changed the sound of my keys quite a bit - much louder and clacky/thickly compared to the “naked” version as there’s some echoing in the case. Will try putting some foam inside!

This was my first attempt to assemble a split keyboard and it turned out amazing! There were some struggles but the seller was very helpful. I sent him a ton of questions and he was always ready with a prompt response! Highly recommend this keyboard, this piece really stands out on my desk. Best present I have gave myself in years!

Purchased the soldered variant on this, was definitely worth it as there are quite a few parts to assemble. Came exactly as expected and worked perfectly after flashing the firmware.

This has been a fantastic improvement in ergonomics in my daily development workflow. Do yourself a favor and buy one of these, you will not regret it. It may have a steep learning curve, but the rewards ultimately make it all worthwhile.

I completed building Span, and I’m thrilled with how it turned out. For this build, I used Kailh Choc V1 Red switches, and ChocFox CFX WoB keycaps.
One of my favorite features is the trackpoint on the right side, which makes precise mouse control effortless. The compact design is perfect for my setup, allowing me to maximize desk space. I also love the large thumb keys—they’re easy to reach and make typing incredibly comfortable.

I think this is the best keyboard if you want a left pointing device with a low profile setting. The build quality is also super nice, I have been using it for 6 months and am quite happy with it.

I'm in love with the Keyball. Been using it as my complete keyboard and mouse replacement and I can't imagine going back now.
